In A Nutshell, You Want To Purchase Our DIY Courses Because They Will Save You Money And They Make You Money By Making Sure You Put The Right Strategies In Place And Implement Them Correctly For YOUR TYPE Of Business!

Local Business Owners Are Getting More Involved In The Marketing Being Put In Place For Their Business With Many Handling The Marketing Themselves.

Here's Why This Is A VERY Smart Decision, And Why DIY Courses Have Become So Valuable To Local Business...

I don't care how you slice it, nobody will understand your business and the people who do business with you better than you! NOBODY!

However, having said this, marketing is an art and a science.

There are strategies that work and strategies that don't based upon the type of business you are.

The strategies you put in place should be based upon the type of business you are, the products you sell, the demographics of your clients and a number of other variables. These are just a few of the variables.

Along with this there are key things you need to do to insure your success in marketing.

We are just finishing up on a course to cover this topic along with giving DIY businesses the foundational information they need to know when it comes to handling the marketing themselves. Bluntly, there's a number of key things you need to know if you're going to be successful at handling your own marketing.

Sadly, most of the people contacting you to sell marketing services to you also don't know these key marketing elements. Instead they are product driven meaning they know a specific marketing strategy and are selling it to anyone they can convince to buy it. This isn't a very good way to handle the marketing with your business.

You need to strategize and plan out your marketing. You don't just put a strategy in place. Instead you map out what you're trying to accomplish and then choose the strategies that support this objective. All of this will become far more clear when we release our "marketing foundational" course (we're almost done with this course, learn more about it here: Foundation To Marketing)..

How Business Owners Look At Putting In Place The Marketing With Their Business

Generally a business owner looks at marketing like this...

1) "It's not my expertise so I'll contract it out to the experts. Or another variation of this is, just like I'm an expert in my market place people who are masters at marketing are experts in their field so I'll let the marketing experts handle our marketing." Or,

2) "I have some experience in marketing so I'd like to handle the marketing myself." Or,

3) "I'm too busy to handle the marketing so I'll ... a) Contract it out, or b) Bring on a marketing person in house to handle the marketing." Or,

4) "I don't have the money to contract it out so I need to handle it myself."

There are more ways, but these are the main ways a business owner looks at marketing.

By purchasing DIY courses you're learning about marketing and about specific marketing strategies. DIY courses help you to:

  • On a general level you learn more about marketing. That's always good because as a business owner you need to know what marketing is being done for your company and/or products, and you need to at minimum have a basic understanding of the purpose of the marketing put in place and how it will help achieve that objective.
  • You need to be part of the strategy team to choose which strategies to use for the objective at hand. In order to help make sure you're making the right marketing decisions for your company it's important that you have a strong working knowledge of marketing. Otherwise you end up trusting someone else to make these important decisions for your company.
  • You learn about specific marketing strategies. But don't just learn them. You need to analyze how that marketing strategy will benefit the marketing objective you're working toward. Keep in mind, there are many marketing objectives... are you using the right marketing for the objective you're after? You're able to learn strategies to handle your own marketing, strategy by strategy, outcome by outcome.
  • If you contract your marketing out it helps you negotiate the price because you're aware of how easy or hard the strategy is to put in place and manage. I've watched other marketers charge thousands of dollars for a strategy that took maybe an hour to put in place and was something anyone could've done. However, if there's a "creative" side like developing marketing pieces to go with the strategy you're also paying for their copywriting skills and/or skills to create images to support the strategy.
  • As a business owner you need to know what marketing is being put in place. You need to know how they're posturing your company, how they are branding you, and the approach they're taking so your staff can help support it. Remember, nobody understands your market place, your competition and the demographics of your clients better than you (if you don't know this information you are going to have a really super hard time effectively marketing your company and/or products).

The advantages to your purchasing DIY courses are many!

However, very few marketing firms offer DIY courses specifically to offline local businesses. That's because they'd rather make the big bucks and sell you marketing services they put in place for you.

We're offering DIY courses because we recognize it's just smart for you to understand what's being put in place at your business. You should be the coordinator of the marketing being put in place with your business and should have a working knowledge of all of the strategies being used.

You should understand all of the different marketing elements in relationship to you company, products and market place.

And because you should know the sales cycle for your products better than most marketer you'd hire you should be able to more effectively establish what marketing assets and pieces and sales funnels should be put in place to support your marketing objectives and to support each step in the sales funnel.

I'm certainly not suggesting you shouldn't learn more about sales/marketing funnels to make sure you've implemented the right funnel for your products and market place because you should. Anything you can do to take marketing effectiveness to a new level is something you should do.

I Didn't Always Believe Business Owners Needed To Have A Deep Understanding In Marketing

Back when I first started helping other local businesses with their marketing back in 1989 I handled everything based upon the project at hand. With detailed worksheets I'd spend a few hours filling out from the answers I got from talking to the key players in the company so ultimately I'd know what marketing was needed for that business and how to approach it.

Then it was just a matter of putting the strategies in place.

I do have to say, it was a much easier approach back then pre-internet. The internet has  dramatically changed how consumers make buying decisions and choose who they're going to do business with.

If you're not taking into consideration how the internet has created a big change in how consumers are making buying decisions and are still solely basing marketing decisions on old school marketing knowledge you're going to be in for a rude awakening and are leaving yourself wide open for a competitor to take over and dominate your market place.

Back then I took care of everything while the business owner ran his company and smiled all the way to the bank!

The biggest challenge I had was the business being able to work all of the leads I buried them in. Life was so much easier pre-internet.

It's not that the psychology of marketing has changed a lot, it's that there's a lot more moving parts to it today that all need to be working together in harmony. This is requiring businesses to spend more money on marketing to attract buyers and be competitive.

Marketers who have no experience in offline marketing and didn't help offline marketers with their marketing pre-internet don't understand all of this which is going to really hinder their ability to effectively help you with your marketing.

There are distinct differences between offline marketing and online marketing. It's knowing how to intermingle the two together which will help you create the right marketing for your business.

Something Dramatically Changed In The Market Place

Over the past 15-20 years we've watched a lot of backyard marketers sprout up. They'd buy courses on how to sell online marketing strategies to offline businesses. A new cottage industry was born.

The problem was these backyard marketers didn't understand the full circle of marketing and how to determine what marketing was best for a business. Nor do they understand offline marketing.

Instead they purchased a course on a specific marketing strategy and then sold it as the all encompassing solution for all businesses to generate more leads and sales. Without understanding how the businesses market place makes buying decisions and numerous other things it was a hit and miss approach to helping a business with their marketing.

Over the past 15 years our main service has been fixing the marketing put in place by these backyard marketers. It has really pissed me off watching how these backyard marketers are hurting businesses and giving them false hope along with not handling the marketing for these businesses properly.

Like I said, marketing is an art and a science. But if you don't understand marketing full circle and the psychology behind it along with all of the other elements to it you're not going to have the level of success that's possible

Then there's understanding the sales process which establishes the sales/marketing funnel; there's understanding marketing assets and how they play a role in your marketing efforts; there's understanding your market place and how they specifically make buying decisions and much more.

Especially now because of the huge increase in backyard marketers we feel it's more important than ever that you take control of the marketing of your company! Somebody needs to be the "marketing manager" of your business and the business owner initially is the best person.

Now, having said this, we're also seeing quite a few businesses hiring people to manage the marketing in their company. When the business owner is just way to busy to effectively stay on top of and manage the marketing in their company hiring a marketing manage is a great idea, as long as you hire the right person for this important job. Maybe down the road we'll create a course on how to hire a marketing manager if there's enough demand for a course like that.

Who Is Bradley Chesnut And His Experiences To Help Local Businesses With Their Marketing?

Mr. Chesnut  doesn't do a lot of courses. That's largely because he's just way too busy working with his clients. He creates courses when he sees a real need for one. All of the courses he's done get bought up quickly because those who know him know the quality of content he provides.

Mr. Chesnut's expertise in marketing began in 1985 when he purchased his first course from Jay Abraham. Back then he studied under Jay Abraham to learn "marketing strategies" and Dan Kennedy to learn how to create compelling "marketing pieces". It takes both to succeed!

Since those early days he's invested well over $100,000 into learning and mastering marketing and copywriting. His mentors are many including some of the most well known experts in marketing and copywriting.

He started working with offline businesses and their marketing in 1989. Since becoming a consultant his successes are many. One thing is very clear... he thoroughly understand the offline business and how to market their business.

In 1992 he had one of his biggest successes up to that point. He started working with the company in 1992. They sold software to insurance agencies. In December of 1992 they did $20,000 of business. It was also in December he implemented his marketing strategy.

In January the company did $200,000 of business and in another 5 months the company was doing $1,000,000 of business and they never looked back. They became the fastest growing and most successful company in their industry. When Mr. Chesnut started working with them they were still in the startup phase.

It's all about marketing.

There were other competing companies that offered a better product. Product wasn't the key. It was the marketing put in place that allowed this company to experience such massive growth.

In 1994 he created the first courses he's ever done, but not the last, for a niche industry he has a lot of experience in, the insurance industry. Here's the two courses he created...

The courses were wildly successful. Insurance agencies called them their "Marketing Bible".

Twenty years later he met one of the agencies who purchased his courses. They raved about the courses and said they were the reason they were able to grow such a large thriving agency. It really warmed Mr. Chesnut's heart to hear this.

Since those first courses in 1984 he's created a number of courses. Not a lot. As already mentioned, he generally only does courses when he sees a real need for one.

However, we hope this is going to change because Mr. Chesnut has a wealth of knowledge in offline marketing and like we keep telling him, "You can't help every business, but by creating courses you can help a lot more."

I think he's starting to come around to our way of thinking. It appears he may be.

Now...

Here's What Other's Who Have Purchased Courses From Mr. Chesnut Have To Say About Him...

Mr. Chesnut created a high-end $995 course called the "Ultimate Training Course" to teach marketers how to properly work with offline businesses and their marketing, and how to properly put in place the marketing in a local offline business. It was a huge success. Take a look at what people said about it...

I take what I do very seriously and I love to help businesses to succeed and prosper.

I also get quite upset with the online marketers who don't truly understand local offline businesses and offline marketing which are both fundamental in being able to correctly recommend marketing strategies to local businesses and implement the strategy into the businesses marketing portfolio.

About Our Current DIY Courses And Upcoming Courses

Our objective is pretty straight forward...

1) Teach you proper marketing. We are currently working on a "foundational" course to teach you the core elements and foundational pieces to marketing. Once you understand what this course will teach you you'll be in a much better position to make marketing decisions for your business.

Every business should purchase this very important course.

To be notified when we release it (along with other courses) just fill out the form to the left. You seriously do not want to miss out on this foundational course!

2) Provide you with great courses covering different marketing strategies and marketing assets.

Some will be our courses and some will be courses by others we recommend. Either way, you can count on the fact you'll be getting a great course.

Keep in mind, most of the courses out there are specifically for online businesses. Courses we provide and recommend are specifically for local offline businesses. Or the strategies are easily modified to support an offline business, which we'll show you if we recommend this type of course.

There's a difference, a big difference, between putting a strategy in place for an online business versus an offline business.

Plus, not every strategy is effective for every type of business. Do you know how to determine the effectiveness of a strategy for your specific business?

You will once we finish the foundational course we're working on.

WHY We Started MLC With The 4 Courses We Did

There's a very good reason why we started with the 4 courses we did... they are universally accepted by all businesses. Let me explain.

Up to this point I hope we've been very clear on why we launched MLC (The Marketing Learning Center). I won't be redundant.

The first courses we're making available with MLC is a course on advanced referral marketing and 3 courses on Facebook marketing. Here's why:

  • Referrals have always been pure gold to offline businesses. This hasn't changed. In fact, referrals have become even more important in the age of the internet. The difference is technology has created numerous very effective ways to generate referrals. It was a no-brainer to have a course on advanced referral marketing as one of our first courses.
  • To date I haven't met a business that couldn't benefit from Facebook marketing. Facebook is massive in its reach, its ability to target specific groups of people and has numerous ways to market to your market place based upon numerous outcomes. Need to create brand awareness? No problem. Need to just drive people to your website? No problem. Need to quickly promote a special offer? No problem. And this is just the beginning!

Regarding Facebook we offer 3 Facebook marketing courses. Each covers a specific topic. Then, because all 3 courses combined together give a more thorough education on Facebook marketing along with complementing each other, we put them together as a package at a reduced price.

Beyond these 4 initial courses over the next 6 months we'll be introducing 14 more courses covering 14 other marketing strategies you could use in your business. Some of the topics will include email marketing (email marketing done right offers one of the highest ROI's), Google Adwords and Google Adsense.

We'll also be releasing our "Marketing Foundational" course we've talked about on this page. You absolutely need to make sure you get this course.

Make sure you enter your information so you can be notified when we release new courses.
